Adriana and I had a really exciting spring turkey season.  First, we went to Florida where Dad and I completed our Grand Slams.  Adriana and I doubled on some Osceolas jakes, too, which meant that she had a good start on her Grand Slam.  We got our Eastern birds at home then we headed for Texas.  Adriana got her Rios that morning and then I went to the same spot that afternoon and got a 4 bearded Rio.   It was very exciting since I called in the turkey myself with my HS small DOUBLE D call.  Next, we went to Wyoming where the whole family got Merriam turkeys.  Dad and I doubled one morning and then Adriana got hers in a different spot that evening which meant she got her Grand Slam.   I was so proud of her for completing her Grand Slam!!  Especially since she is only 7 years old.   Mom went the next morning and got her Merriam too.  I have had such a great spring getting to hunt  and travel with my family.  I look forward to hearing about some of your spring turkey hunts!
